Family Resource & Youth Service Center
The Family Resource and Youth Services Centers have been serving the students and families of the Elizabethtown Independent School District since 1992, with the office presently located at the rear of Panther Academy at 634 N. Mulberry St.
The director of the Family Resource Center is Pam Haire, and she serves the students and families of Panther Academy, Morningside Elementary, and Helmwood Heights Elementary, as well as children from birth to three years of age residing in our district.
The Youth Services Center Director is Karen Skees, and she serves T.K. Stone Middle School and Elizabethtown High School.
The centers work jointly and are both located in the same office at Panther Academy.
The centers are grant-funded programs through the KY Cabinet for Health and Human Services and are committed to helping students reach their full potential. A variety of programs and services are offered to students and their families through the centers, such as individual and group counseling, education enrichment opportunities, parent education and support programs, as well as assistance with school supplies and some basic needs. Family case management and appropriate referrals are also provided to other existing resources in the Elizabethtown area.
