Elizabethtown, KY – Tuesday, June 7, 2022, Elizabethtown Independent is excited and proud to announce that Hope Janes will be the new Principal at TK Stone School starting the 2022-2023 school year. The SBDM Council and Superintendent Kelli Bush completed the Principal Selection process and relied on the staff and parent survey information for their guidance in choosing Hope Janes.
Mrs. Hope Janes is an experienced educator with twenty-one years to her credit. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in English at Campbell University in North Carolina and completed her teaching certificate for secondary education at Lindsey Wilson College. Mrs. Janes’ earned her Master of Arts in School Counseling from Western Kentucky University and completed her EDS in Administration at the University of the Cumberlands.
Mrs. Janes taught English at Cumberland County High School in Burkesville, KY for ten years, was an Instructional Specialist for three years, and lastly, the High School Counselor for four years. During her tenure at Cumberland County, she also earned National Board Certification. She and her family moved to Elizabethtown where she has been the Assistant Principal at Bluegrass Middle School for the past two years. Her experiences make her an excellent choice for the new Principal at TK Stone Middle.
